About Jaci Velasquez:

Jaci Velasquez is a Contemporary Christian and Latin pop singer and American actress, performing in both English and Spanish.

Velasquez has sold almost five million albums worldwide, recorded three Platinum and three Gold albums, and recorded 16 singles that hit No. 1 plus six more that entered the top 10. She has received seven Dove Awards, including Best New Artist and Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as three Grammy nominations, five Latin Billboard Award nominations, and an American Music Award nomination. Since late 2010, Velasquez has co-hosted a morning radio show with Doug Griffin.

Velasquez is also involved with a number of social issues. A proponent of sexual abstinence before marriage, Velasquez served as national
spokesperson for the True Love Waits campaign. Using her popularity to help other teens take responsibility for their actions and avoid making poor decisions, Velasquez took a realistic view of the pressures teens faced. She promoted this message in her book A Heavenly Place, published in English and Spanish, to help young, Christian women live by their religious principles and give Christian teens advice about making the transition to adulthood with their values intact. Velasquez also took on the role of national spokesperson for the National Christian College Athletic Association, and enjoyed touring colleges to promote a Christian-oriented message to students.

Jaci will be offering a message of support especially for Abstinence for The Loretta Johnson Global Abstinence Project Conference (via video).
